Food Minister Shri Dayaldas Baghel attends orientation programme at Govt K.R.D. College Nawagarh
Plants Saplings, speaks about NEP 2020
Raipur// Food Minister Shri Dayaldas Baghel on Monday attended the orientation programme at Government Koduram Dalit College in Nawagarh, Bemetara district. The event welcomed newly admitted students and provided them with information about the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. During the visit, Minister Shri Baghel also planted saplings on the college campus.
Shri Baghel outlined the key objectives, provisions, and features of the NEP 2020. He explained the subject groups available to students, including generic-elective and value addition courses. The policy gives emphasis on a holistic and multidisciplinary approach to education, encouraging students to excel in sports, arts, and vocational skills alongside their academic subjects, he stated.
Students were briefed on credit-based courses, continuous internal assessments, and end-of-semester examinations as part of the NEP provisions. The session also addressed questions and concerns from both students and their parents.
The orientation was attended by Nagar Panchayat Nawagarh President Smt. Manjulata Ratre, Parshad Shri Zahid Baig, Government K.R.D. College Principal Smt. M. Banjara, and numerous members of the college community.
